WELCOME TO THE FRIENDLY CITY BY THE SEA
I'm so thrilled you've booked your stay in our quaint coastal town. While small in size, Swansboro is packed with lots of heart and has much to do both off and on the water. As a native to the area, I'd love to share some resources with you to assist in maximizing your stay in this area. Scroll through for where to eat, what to do, must see, and more.
EXPLORING OUR WATER WAYS
While in Swansboro, you must take the time to explore the beautiful intracoastal waterway. Hammocks Beach State Park is a family-friendly opportunity to explore our coast as well as catch a ferry ride over to Bear Island. You can take a sunset cruise on the Lady Swan or if you're feeling adventurous, rent a kayak (guided or unguided tours) from Pogie's and explore with your family. If you're looking for an excellent fishing opportunity, contact Reel Obsession Fishing Charters for inquiries.

OUR LOCAL ARTS COMMUNITY
Swansboro is rich with local art and music. Your best source for local music events, is found here at Seaside Arts Council. Follow along on social media for upcoming events around the area. Take a short ride across the bridges to Cedar Point, NC and support our local farmers and artists by visiting either of these venues for weeked markets: The Market at Cedar Point and the Salty Air Open Market. You'll want to check their pages for scheduling. Throughout the Spring - Fall months, many of the downtown restaurants boast local music while dining. For Swansboro FESTIVAL, information, click here and read more on Arts by the Sea. You can find local art as well as boutique home decor at Salt Marsh Cottage and Coastal Farmhouse. The Mercantile is a great place to grab a local shirt or hat, among art and gifts. Personally, I love antiques and oddities (storyteller, here) so if you're looking for this experience, be sure to browse Poor Man's Hole.
