They’re not crawling away yet, and every smile feels like a little peek at who they’re becoming. At Samantha Ann Photo, I specialize in photographing babies throughout their first year - from the early newborn days to those big, first birthday celebrations. The six-month sitter session is often one of my absolute favorites because it's that perfect middle chapter in your baby’s story.
This age is often skipped because life gets busy but six months is where things start to shift. Your baby is more alert, engaged, and interactive. They're still small, still cuddly but their personality is showing up in full force. These images feel different than newborn photos. They're lighter, more playful, and often filled with big gummy smiles or curious wide eyes.
As a studio trained and licensed to work with babies and families, I create a space that’s safe, calm, and thoughtfully prepared for your little one. I provide all the props, setups, and styling so you don’t have to lift a finger (except maybe to wipe a little drool or grab your coffee).

I recommend booking your sitter session once your baby is able to sit independently or with light support - typically between 6 and 8 months. Booking early ensures we can find the best date and plan a look that fits your baby’s personality. Sessions take place in my commercial studio here in Swansboro, designed with both comfort and safety in mind. I use timeless setups with soft textures and neutral tones, allowing your baby to truly shine in every image.
What makes my studio different is that I don’t hand over a digital file and leave you to figure out the rest. I walk you through your images, help you design custom artwork, and make sure your family’s story lives where it matters most - on your walls, not on your hard drive.
